Best place for a cocktail?
My favourite place to go for a cocktail in Adelaide would have to be Hains & Co on Gilbert Place in the CBD. The vibe there is so relaxed, and it reminds me of London! My go-to drink is the classic margarita, but they specialise in gin if that’s something you enjoy!
Best place for pasta?
The pastas at Osteria Oggi are so delicious! I always order the saffron linguine with blue swimmer crab!
Best place for a relaxed weekend walk?
I live close to Norwood and there are the most beautiful parks to walk in there. Otherwise, the Botanic Gardens in the city is also stunning!
Most beautiful beach?
The most beautiful beach I’ve been to in SA is Ethels Wreck beach. It’s located at Innes National Park, which is just off the Yorke Peninsula. There’s a shipwreck on the beach, which I find a little eerie, but also beautiful. It isn’t a swimming beach though! Unfortunately, it’s too dangerous to swim in the sea there, but that really doesn’t take away from how beautiful the beach is.
Best brunch spot?
My favourite spot for brunch would have to be Mad Good Café on Fullarton Road.I always order the halloumi burger, it tastes so amazing and I crave it all the time!
Favourite weekend activity?
I don’t really get out much on weekends, but during the Adelaide Fringe, I love going to the Garden of Unearthly Delights. The atmosphere there is so great on weekends!
Favourite SA destination for a getaway?
One of my favourite SA destinations for a getaway is Moonta Bay! I’ve been goingthere since I was 5 years old and I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of it! It’s just so beautiful there.
Best place for a pizza?
I love Sunny’ss Pizza in the CBD! Trust me and order their classic margherita pizza! It is so good!
Where would you recommend going for a day trip?
A day trip down to Victor Harbour is always nice. Make sure you check out Granite Island when you’re there! If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see the penguins!
Favourite SA winery/cellar door?
My favourite winery would have to be Shaw + Smith, just off Bahannah Rd. The views there are unreal.
Tell us about a hidden gem in Adelaide that not many people know about!
The Altavilla Irpina Sports and Social Club on The Parade! It’s an Italian social club that’s only open on Friday’s and Sunday’s, and they serve the yummiest and most authentic pizzas and pastas. You can dine in or get take away, but whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. I would highly recommend checking them out!
